LCA of Services

One of the interesting issues about the calculation of eco-costs (eco-burden) of services is that such a calculation is heavily based on allocation (since the nature of services is that in services nearly al subsystems are shared by other users). Moreover, it is often not feasible to express services in terms of kilograms.
The principle of "economic allocation" is to be applied then, using the EVR-data from the database:

eco-costs of a service = costs of service (€) x EVR of the service type

example: a little shop (the service is: selling products to customers)

The theoretical background is explained under tab allocation
